As of 11.17.25, the Bad Magic Giving Tree has come to a close for both recipient applications and additional fan donations.

This year, we had over 1,000 families seek support. This is the most amount of requests we have ever seen. For anyone who is currently seeking support, please contact local non profits, charities, churches, YMCA’s and the like. There are so many astonishing and supportive options out there.

A MASSIVE thanks to all of our community members who felt called to donate additional funds to the Bad Magic Giving Tree, making this a truly collaborative effort. Between fan support and Patreon and Dan and Lynze’s personal contributions, over $28K has been distributed to over 90 children this holiday season!! It’s incredible what we can do when come together!


For seven years now, we have been hosting the Bad Magic Giving Tree. Thank you for making this dream project of Lynze’s come true! This is a project so near and dear to her heart. She personally appreciates what it meant to her family the year their gifts came from a community resource. Now as someone facilitating the giving, she is reminded of what an honor and privilege it is to give back.
